EvidenceFirst

SurgeonCheck's mission is to contribute to patient safety by means of identifying potentially dangerous surgeons. SurgeonCheck aims to be the preeminent source of information about plastic surgeons' track records by use of innovative mechanisms to ensure both data availability, patient privacy, and data veracity.

EvidenceFirst is one mechanism which allows valid and valuable reviews about dangerous surgeons to be posted while protecting the reputation of surgeons with good track records.

EvidenceFirst requires the reviewer to submit documentary evidence along with the review, thus preventing false, spurious or otherwise baseless reviews from being added to our site. Once a SurgeonCheck purchases an EvidenceFirst subscription, all negative reviews about the surgeon will have to be backed up by scans of receipts, photographs, videos, as well as third-party assessments by qualified independent doctors.

EvidenceFirst is free for all sponsors, or a subscription may be purchased at the low price of only $9.99 per month.

Why not require EvidenceFirst for all reviews?

Checking the documentation of reviews requires labor, i.e. time and money.

Is the documentation I submit in conjunction with EvidenceFirst made public?

Yes, but all details giving your identity away such as names on receipts or faces in photos will be blacked out.

How can SurgeonCheck be sure that the evidence is authentic?

If necessary, the evidence will be corroborated. For example, we may call the physician who provided the independent assessment of the result.
